I am almost 40 years old and for the last 15 years I have been unhappy about being overweight. However, despite yo-yo dieting for all that time, I finally reached my own personal low, decided to listen to my sister and get a personal trainer.

I was very apprehensive about exercising, and what having a trainer would mean, but any fears I had were allayed as soon as I met Sue.

Having your blood pressure and body measurements taken is never a nice experience and coupled with talking about eating habits should have been my worst nightmare, but because Sue dealt with it in a professional but sensitive way it was like an unburdening of years of guilt and shame. I had an image of a Drill Sergeant barking orders to "drop and give me 20!" but the reality is completely different.

Sue is always bubbly and outgoing which is completely infectious and manages to encourage you to achievement you never thought possible. Her professional approach gives you the confidence to try new things without fear of failure.

I could go on and on about the fantastic way that Sue breaks the exercises down into manageable amounts, or that I have never had that aching feeling the following day or that I can now get into clothes I haven't been able to for years! But the one thing I will go on about is how fabulous Sue has helped me to feel.

I was seriously considering weight-loss surgery before I started to exercise and now those thoughts have gone. I have brought my blood pressure down to a more normal range and I feel fabulous.

Having Sue to train with is like having a guide on a long journey giving you directions and encouragement along the way so you can take in the scenery as you go. My journey has only just begun, but I already like what I am seeing. Exercise? Bring it on!

When I first met Sue I was “Fat & Forty” and had just been diagnosed with a permanent health condition, which affects my energy levels. Just running for the train left me gasping, so she had a challenge on her hands!

When she told me that within 4 weeks I would be able to run a mile, I’ll admit I had no belief. However, I didn’t count on Sue’s positivity and dedication to getting results. She not only improved my fitness but built up my confidence to the extent that at the end of the four weeks I did run that mile!

I have continued with my running and now have 2 half-marathons under my belt, with the London Marathon in my sights!

If you were to ask me “What set’s Sue apart from other Trainers?” I’d have to say the personal touch. Sue would frequently turn up to a session with an article or some other information she had sourced about my condition, not because I’d asked her to, but because she thought it might help. If I was having a bad day she would work with me, but never let me give up.

Her Personal Training truly is just that......... personal to you. I now consider Sue as one of my good friends.

At 44 and having been involved with football most of my life, I thought I was pretty fit. I’d had a few trainers who allowed me to do, more or less what suited me. However, Sue soon changed that! She did what I really needed, she challenged me, I couldn’t hide and after a while I didn’t want too. I started to look forward to the next challenge and Sue was always ready to “raise the bar” with a new level to work for, which kept me focused.

The result - I have now completed 2 London Marathons and 4 half-marathons; I have a body I can be proud of, which is strong and healthy.

All I can say about Sue is, I love the commitment she shows to her profession, she makes every session enjoyable and if you want to achieve good fitness then she is the best person for the job.

Sue is great to work with, always smiling and great at building your self confidence. In the past I tended to get bored very quickly with my exercise regime and would treat it like a chore but Sue taught me so many different exercises and variations, both at home and in the gym that there's always something different to do. I never knew there were so many possibilities with a fitness ball!!

I had already experienced personal training when I met Sue, but found being with her far more inspirational. I do work hard but that's why I enjoy the challenge. Sue is very encouraging and focuses our time together on helping me get the best from the exercise. I also have found the nutritional advice very beneficial, and by monitoring what I was and wasn't doing helped me to see my pitfalls. Now I'm eating a much better diet and I feel so much better in myself. This is a great investment in me and I am thankful that I have found Sue to continue on this journey into my life, and how much I am changing not just in appearance but also in my confidence.
